spa

Ringing in the New Year is a great time to renew your spirit too. Even if you’re unable to get away to an exotic spa retreat, you can still take time to pamper yourself. With a few items that you can easily find around your house or apartment, you can relax and renew in a spa environment right in your own home.

If you’ve ever visited a spa, you know that many of them offer different experiences. Think about what you’d like to recreate at home first. Do you want to relax with a long, hot bath or spend some time giving yourself a manicure or pedicure? Whatever treatments you decide on, remember that the most important thing about the spa experience is the ambience.

In preparing to create just the right atmosphere, you should find some relaxing music, bath gel or beads, and aromatic candles. Also, have plenty of plush towels, washcloths, soft slippers, and even a comfortable robe on hand. By having all of the essentials close by, you won’t have to rush into another room to get something you forgot.

The next step is to make an appointment. If you have a roommate, friends that like to stop by, or young children running around, you’ll want to make sure that they’ve got somewhere else to go during your spa time. Distractions won’t allow you to truly relax and enjoy your spa experience.

The last step is to follow through. Now that everything is prepared, go ahead and light the candles, begin the music, and dim the lights. Whether you’ve set aside 30 minutes, an hour, or an entire evening for your appointment, have fun, relax, and enjoy renewing your body, soul, and mind.

christmas

Once the Thanksgiving dinner has been eaten, the pumpkin pie has been enjoyed, and the dishes have been cleared away, it’s time to begin thinking about Christmas. One simple way to start decorating your home for the holidays is to change out the hand towels, bath towels, and guest bathroom towels in all of your bathrooms.

By replacing your daily linens in your bathrooms with festive, decorative towels, you can instantly change the mood of the room. Start with a color scheme you’d like to focus on, then decide on the designs or embroidered pictures you’d like on the towels. After the towels are in place, adding any Christmas decorations or candles around the bathroom will finish that holiday look.

December can be such a busy time for everyone with family get-togethers, office parties, children’s plays, and other activities. When you decorate your bathroom with holiday towels, you’ve started your Christmas preparations in a simple and fun way. Now you can enjoy the rest of the season and truly get into the holiday spirit.

Bath time for children always seems like an event. There’s the warm water, special tub toys, and lots of exciting bubbles. However, when the bubbles are gone and the bath toys are finished being played with, there’s something wonderful about wrapping up your child in a soft, bath towel. Like icing on a cake, the warm embrace of a cotton towel finishes the bath time experience with a peaceful moment.

Creating that special time together after bath time is simple if you choose a colorful or playful bath towel. Children love bright colors or special designs that show off their fun-loving side. So, even though the bath part of this nightly ritual might be over, the cuddle time with their favorite bath towel really finishes off this family time in a unique way.

As you take the time to hold your child in a warm towel, realize that these are the moments that you’ll cherish as they get older. So even if your child wriggles a bit in your hands as you dry him or her off, that towel time together is actually a precious memory in the making.
